The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC. Adamawa state chapter has embarked on enforcement of the industrial strike action in the state as directed by its headquarters.
An enforcement team from the Organized Labour led by Vice- Chairman of NLC, Comrade Usman Babbada visited some government work places including Yola State Secretariat, Federal Secretariat and Yola Specialist Hospital and halting the official activities asking workers to vacant their offices for the strike.
As the enforcement team or State Monitoring Group who dressed in brown uniforms and red barrels went round government offices insisted on sending workers breaching the Labour directive of the industrial action.
Chairman of NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe and his Trade Union counterpart,Dauda Adamu have earlier while briefing the affiliates at the Labour House Yola said the enforcement is incompliance with directive of the National Secretariat of Labour.
The duo cautioned the enforcement team to employ dialogue on the operation.
Sources at the labour House revealed that all academic institutions, Media Houses, hospitals, Banks, motorparks, markets and Keke-NAPEP will be shutdown in Adamawa state as compliance.
Affiliates have released bulletins for members to withdraw their services already.
