The National Leadership of the African Democratic Congress has vowed to rid the party of what it described as “political vagabonds and refugees” who, it claimed, had infiltrated its ranks and disrupted its internal harmony.
Acting National Chairman of the ADC, Hon. Nafiu Bala, made this known in a statement issued on Monday, assuring members and supporters of the party’s resolve to restore its lost integrity and glory.
Bala condemned the activities of some individuals allegedly parading themselves as leaders and members of the ADC without formal registration or recognition by the party.
According to him, the infiltration of such persons had infected the party with divisive tendencies that previously led to unrest, including the burning of party offices in Ekiti and Kaduna States.
“The bonafide leaders of this great party are working tirelessly to restore its glory, which was tainted by political vagabonds who sneaked in through the back door,” Bala stated.
He described the infiltrators as habitual troublemakers known for imposing arbitrary leadership and causing disunity within political structures.
“ADC is not a refugee camp where political vagabonds sneak in without protocols,” he added. “We warn these elements to desist from calling kangaroo congresses or parading themselves as members to avoid legal action.”
Bala reaffirmed that the national leadership remains committed to peace, discipline, and due process within the party, warning that any unauthorised activities would be met with firm resistance.
