ADP lambasts APC, PDP over slow growth of democracy, recycling of leaders

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has frowned at the slow development of democracy in the country especially the continuous recycling of leaders since return to civil rule in 1999.
The ADP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Abdulmajeed Babangida Sa’ad made the remarks in a statement in Abuja, saying that there has been stunted growth in democratic rule which has been clearly exhibited in the recycling of political leaders who have been at the helm of affairs since 1999 to date.
According to him, both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives (APC) are guilty of the recycling being the two dominant political parties.
Comrade Sa’ad explained that neither the APC nor PDP has proven to have proven in practical sense to have the solution to Nigeria’s pervasive economic, political and security woes whose originated from the kind of rulership either at state or federal levels.
Also, the publicity scribe pointed out that the claims by PDP and APC that they can deliver Nigeria by 2019 is a clear case of political mirage.
“As both parties have states under their control who are engulfed in economic, political and social misery. I challenge them to apply their proposed programmes in their respective states now as a remedy for the crisis we are facing as evidence of their ability to drive Nigeria to greatness,” he said.
Sa’ad observed that in the last 18 years of Nigeria’s return to democratic rule, it has not increased in value and social values are constantly been eroded with educational, health, judicial and moral standards on the decline.
He emphasised that Nigeria has a credible alternative for present and future country in the Action Democratic Party (ADP).
