African Seminary graduates 14 students

The management of African Independent Theological Seminary (AITS) Rafisenyi in Sulaja Local Government Area of Niger State on Saturday graduated fourteen students ranging from Diploma, Bachelors and Masters in different disciplines.
The president/Rector of AITS, Prof. Peters Omeiza Yusuf, who disclosed this during the 2017 convocation ceremony for graduation, conferment of awards and certificates as well as ordination which took place at Sandaco Hotel in Rafuisenyi.
Yusuf urged the outgoing students to be good ambassadors of the seminary in anywhere they found themselves.
He pointed out that the mission of the seminary was to give proper as well standard training to ministers of the gospel and members of the church in order to make them sound in their judgment as they live for God woks in anticipation of the arrival of Jesus Christ.
He said: “AITS is a non-denominational Bible Seminary for all unbiased biblical training for our students to impact positively on our generation to the glory of God”
The Rector, however, appealed to the general public to support the seminary to actualise its dreams.
Addressing the graduates, the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Augustine Boro, charged the outgoing students to remain committed to the services of God at all times.
Boro, who is the proprietor of BJY Memorial School Suleja, advised the graduating students to emulate the life style of Jesus Christ by preaching true words of God as were contained in the Holy Bible.
Also speaking, the guest speaker at the occasion, the research professor of theological education from the Bishop Crowther College of Theology, Okene, Kogi state, David S. Maduka, Pleaded with the outgoing students to imbibe the spirit of hard work and dedication to duties as they are going out to do the work of God.
On the challenges facing the church in Nigeria in the areas of false religion, false belief system, occultism, sectarianism and heresy, Prof. Maduka, urged the church leadership to adopt ways of stopping the trend in the interest of Christian community.
On his part, the special guest of honour, the former deputy governor of Kogi State, stressed the need for the Christian religious leaders to acquire education to enable them to administering their followers well. This, according to him, education is needed for effective leadership in Nigerian Churches.
Meanwhile, eight persons were ordained while the two persons were conferred with the Honorary Doctorate Degrees during the graduation ceremony.
