At least, eight persons have been killed in Chito, a suburb in Ukum local government area of Benue by suspected bandits.
An indigene of the area who pleaded anonymity said the 8 persons were killed in different attacks by the bandits, adding that a market was burnt.
Another resident said four persons were said to have been killed on Monday, while three others were reportedly shot dead on Tuesday.

person. To the best of my knowledge, the bad guys are fighting themselves. I think that is the summary of what is happening. One faction is facing the other. It is unfortunate. We have presence of military in Zaki-Biam and yet. Someone called and told me that they have gone to Chito now to dislodge them”.
There was no confirmation from the Police Public Relations’ Officer SP Catherine Anene as she simply said, “I do not have this information”.
Sankera axis of Benue State is known to be the hot bed for criminals and criminality.
