The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has enjoined all states chairmen in the country to create a level play ground for all aspirants for full participation in the contest, as, according to him, “there will be no imposition of candidates in 2019 elections”.
Prince Secondus spoke through the National vice chairman PDP North Central zone Honourable Theophilos Dakashan during a familiarization visit to the officials of the party in Lafia the state capital yesterday.
According to him “I urged all the 36 state executives to give a free ground for all aspirants. Give equal treatment to all. There will be no issue of either chairman imposing candidate on the electorates. The national secretariat is in support of all those who will aspire in 2019.
He continued “We believe in anything that will lead the party to victory. PDP will not support illegality in the next year general elections”. He added
Theophilos further commended the Nasarawa state members of the party for zoning the seat of governorship to the Northern zone; called on the party officials to expedite efforts and bring new members that would add value to the noble party.
“PDP is focusing on the young people and women. I implored them to register and have their voters card as well as mobilize them to embrace the party’s ideology aimed at adding value to their lives if given the mandate in 2019.
In his welcome address the Nasarawa State PDP chairman, Honourable Francis Orogon assured the north central zonal chairman that PDP in the state is united and focused in all its activities.
“We are committed to the agenda of the party. I assured you that the next election, PDP will take the leadership of the state”. He maintained.
