After the abysmal failure of the Urhobos to achieve successes in the just concluded Governorship Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta State, strong indications are that Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) strong Urhobos dictatorship may have begins consultants with Urhobo nation, monarchs, women and youth leaders with a view of endorsing one Urhobo Governorship candidate for the forthcoming governorship election.
The Urhobos, as it were, yet to recover from their failure in the governorship primaries, have resolved that Urhobo man must be governor of the state come 2015.
In a door to door meetings, including closed door meetings, the Urhobos have also resolved through the President General of the Youth Wing of the Urhobo Progressive Union worldwide, Comrade Igho Ovie Anthony, to slam Chief Ighoyota Amori, Evelyn Oboro and Monday Igbuya as betrayers of the Urhobos, adding that on no account should members of the UPU or all other Urhobos vote for them to win their elections in 2015.
Speaking to our correspondent, Comrade Igho Ovie Anthony vehemently condemned the endorsement of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa by an Urhobo Youth Group, stating that no group has the authority to speak on behalf of Urhobo youths except the youth wing of UPU.
