The International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) has trained some senior management officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on New Techniques and Methodologies for Electoral Research.
The one-week-long intensive training, which held at Park Royal Hotel, Westminster, London, was designed to equip the participants with modern skills of conducting electoral research for improved electoral service ahead 2019 General Elections.
A bulletin issued yestetday by the commission pointed out that the topics covered during the training included; Experience sharing on Nigeria’s Current Practices in Electoral Research; Applying New Techniques to Research and Progressing from Research to Policy and Practice.
The training, according to the bulletin, was facilitated by Dr Toby James, a senior lecturer and Head of Politics in the School of Politics, Philosophy, Communication and Language Studies, University of Anglia.
It listed participants at the workshop to include: Prof Okechukwu Ibeanu, and Mrs Augusta C Ogakwu.
Others are; Mrs Eyum Ode, Tunde Ojedekun, and Victoria Eta-Massi.
