The former Captain of Supper Eagles, Ahmed Musa, has applauded the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Senator Uba Sani for its commitment to developing grassroots football in the State.
Speaking yesterday at the final of Uba Sani Unity Cup final between D’ Officer Football and Bagadaza Football of Pambegua in Zuntu in Kuba Local Government Area of the State, the Eagle’s striker said he has identified four talents that should be supported to build a career in football.
“Myself and my brother Shehu Abdullahi are impressed by the professional conduct of the players and we will look at how to support them to build a career in football.
“I also applaud the promoter of the competition Hon.Bashir Suleiman Zuntu for organizing the competition at the grassroots.
Speaking earlier, Hon Bashir Suleiman Zuntu who is the Accountant General of the State, said the tournament has successfully promoted social bounding amongst youths in the LGA.
“I’m impressed by the turnout generally, and you know sports have a social impact through interactions between players of different backgrounds.”
Bashir Zuntu also revealed that the competition was aimed at channeling the energy of the youth towards a productive venture.
