Air Peace plane skids off Port Harcourt airport runway

An Air Peace plane, on Sunday, reportedly veered off the runway after landing at the Port Harcourt International Airport.

Air Peace confirmed the incident in a statement signed by Osifo-Whiskey Efe, its spokesperson.

The incident was said to have occurred on Sunday morning.

The airline said flight P47190, which operated from Lagos to Port Harcourt, had a runway excursion after a safe landing.

“Air Peace confirms that its Flight P47190, operating from Lagos to Port Harcourt this morning, had a runway excursion after landing safely at the Port Harcourt International Airport,” the statement reads.

“The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage.”

According to Air Peace, all passengers disembarked safely and calmly, with no injuries recorded.

The airline reassured the public of its unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in its operations.

In 2019, an aircraft operated by the aviation company skidded off the runway of the same airport upon landing.
