The factional president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio has agreed to furnish the new Secretariat of the football body.
The football governing body is yet to move into its new secretariat known as the ‘Sunday Dankaro Football House’, located at Package B of the National Stadium Complex, Abuja since its commissioning in July last year.
The football administrator while speaking with newsmen at the reception for the Super Falcons revealed that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State has graciously granted the NFF’s request to furnish their new football house.
“We want to thank the Governor of Akwa Ibom state for his support to the growth of football in this country,” said Pinnick.
“He has granted our request to furnish the new secretariat and we have gotten architects to go and do some work there because there are some things that were not properly done.
“We are trying to create a standard because we are looking to engage corporate Nigeria and don’t want investors coming to our office and say we are worth only one million instead of a hundred billion.
“If you know the worth of the English FA or French Football Federation, you will marvel and one thing that catches the eye of any well-meaning investor is the edifice of any organization.
