By Stanley Onyekwere

The Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Allwell Ihunda, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will face no opposition in Rivers State during the 2027 general election.

Speaking in Abuja during a solidarity visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Ihunda said Wike’s “Rainbow Coalition” had united political groups in the state in support of the Federal Government.

Flanked by Rivers State local government chairmen at the flag-off of the Tungan Madaki–Zuba Road project, Ihunda commended Wike for “changing the landscape of the FCT” through what he described as an aggressive 31-day project commissioning exercise.

He added that Wike’s performance in the FCT, coupled with President Tinubu’s leadership and governance across the country, had positioned the President for what he described as a smooth re-election in Rivers State in 2027.
