Former Minister of State for the FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has condemned the latest wave of terrorist attacks across the country, warning that the growing violence demands urgent unity and stronger support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s security efforts.

Aliyu stated that the attacks pose a serious threat to national stability and emphasised that every segment of leadership must collaborate to address the crisis. She stressed that Nigeria cannot afford distractions or division at this time.

Her reaction comes amid renewed attacks in various parts of the country. Aliyu maintained that while the security agencies continue to push back, the real strength lies in a collective front that cuts across political, traditional, religious and community leadership.

She said, “I strongly condemn the disturbing rise in terrorist attacks across parts of our country. These acts of violence are barbaric and targeted at the peace and stability of our nation. No Nigerian should have to live in fear and I stand with the families and communities that have been affected.

“At a time like this, unity is not optional. I call on leaders at all levels, traditional rulers, religious figures, community influencers and citizens from every background to come together and support the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The President has shown commitment to strengthening security structures and he needs the full cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve lasting results.

“Nigeria cannot overcome insecurity if we allow politics, ethnicity or personal interests to divide us. What we face is a common threat that requires a common resolve. Let us strengthen collaboration, encourage intelligence sharing and work collectively to deny terrorists any space to operate.”

She urged Nigerians to stay vigilant and continue supporting the reforms already in motion, expressing optimism that sustained cooperation would turn the tide against terrorism.

“I remain confident in the direction and determination of Mr President. With collective support, vigilance and unity of purpose, we will overcome these challenges and secure a safer and stronger Nigeria for all,” she said.
