Katsina Opens Doors to Global Investors at Paris Summit

Katsina State Government has moved forward with its economic development plan by taking active part in the CIAN Africa Investment Summit in Paris, France.

The state delegation, led by Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, engaged with global investors and held high-level discussions aimed at attracting sustainable investments into the state.

During the summit, the Deputy Governor showcased the state’s economic potentials in sectors like solid mineral, agriculture, skills, climate control, and education.

Jobe explained that the sectors have strong potential for job creation and industrial expansion.

During the engagement, the delegation successfully established five business-to-business partnerships.

“These partnerships focus on sustainable agricultural practices. They aim to enhance food security, develop solid minerals, strengthen skills training, transfer technology, and improve transportation for students, public servants, and farmers,” the Deputy Governor said. .

The delegation also held a productive meeting with the Finland Embassy where the parties agreed to explore strategic areas of cooperation, including agri-business, youth and women empowerment, and skills acquisition.

He said, “Katsina is always at the forefront in positioning itself as an investment-ready destination. It is committed to inclusive growth and sustainable development.”

Other members of the delegation were Khalil Nur Khalil, Harun Abba Gana, Commissioner of Commerce, Bishir Yusuf Jirdede, Director General of Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency, Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi, and the Executive Secretary, Katsina State Development Management Board, Malam Mustapha Shehu.
