The proscribed ghost workers of the Taraba state civil service on Monday staged the 3rd protest over unpaid 7 months salaries.
The alleged ghost workers claimed that they have followed all the necessary procedure but were still not considered since seven months ago.
Mr. Abdurahul Sani, the chairman of the alleged ghost workers forum said during the protest that over 4000 workers were being unlawfully denied their entitlement under the claims of ghost workers by the Taraba state government.
According to him, “over 5000 of us were declared ghost workers, after which 500 were asked to go for Biometric. The 500 workers were recalled and started receiving their salaries”.
The alleged ghost workers’ chairman said the remaining 4000 workers were later called for verification but since then, have not been considered for payment.
