As part of deliberate and pro-active efforts geared towards bolstering security network around boarding schools nationwide and also the safety and security of students and other stakeholders in the nation’s secondary institutions of learning, the Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Mohammed Abubakar has ordered the Command Commissioners of Police to immediately commence security audit and threats analysis of all boarding schools nationwide.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Frank Mbah yesterday, in Abuja.

The statement said the outcome of this exercise will greatly assist the police authorities and other security agencies in the task of designing security strategies that will help in promoting safety and security in the schools.

The Force PRO said the IGP reassures the citizens that the Police, along with other security forces will remain committed to their mandate of protecting the lives and property of all Nigerian citizens, at all places and at all times. He called for the continuous support of the Nigerian public.
