The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has commenced the construction of the dilapidated roads in Lugbe ‘A’ and Sabo Lugbe.
Maikalangu, who made the declaration while reading his speech during the flag-off ceremony on Tuesday in Lugbe Local Education Authority (L.E.A) Primary School.
He urged the residents of the area to co-operate with the contractors to enable them to carry out good work, warning the contractors against shaddy jobs.
He also advised the residents to deem it necessary to safeguard the facilities being put in place by the government in the area, saying that his administration will not hesitate to carry out projects across the twelve wards of the Area Council.
He, therefore, informed the gathering that his administration is set to commission about fifteen projects across the twelve political wards in AMAC.
Maikalangu used the occasion to appeal to the inhabitants of the Area Council to pay their taxes.
Also speaking, the Village Head of Lugbe, Mr. Dantani S. Cheta, pleaded with the AMAC Chairman to fence Primary schools within Lugbe Community.
Cheta begged the Chairman to erect a standard Primary Health Care in Lugbe in order to prevent the residents from travelling out for medical treatment.
