The Chief Executive Officer of Resort in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Uzochukwu Akunedozi, has distributed food items as well as cash gifts to 200 widows in Abuja in order to mark his birthday celebration.
The food items which included bag of rice, vegetable oil and sachets of tomatoes paste among others were presented to the beneficiaries by the Senior Special Adviser to AMAC Chairman on Community Development, Hon. Yunusa Ahmadu on behalf of the celebrant on Monday.
Hon. Yunusa Ahmadu in his words said: “Mr Uzochukwu Akunedozi asked me to mobilise not less than 200 widows from different communities in the FCT to celebrate with him on the occasion of his birthday with the little God has blessed him in our land.
“presently, over 200 widows are here and we are trying to manage the situation because we know how the economy has been biting hard on the masses.
“`Everyone will go home with something, some will go back with cash gifts, while others will go home with the foods items”.
One of the beneficiaries who spoke during the occasion, Mrs. Hanatu Garba appreciated the celebrant for the gesture and prayed for his long life.
