The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), FCT Chapter, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has been thrown into mourning following the passing of his driver, Mr. Danladi Philemon Kure, on Saturday.
Describing the incident as a painful and monumental loss, Maikalangu expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
The Chairman in a statement from his Chief Press Secretary
Kingsley Madaki, noted that Mr. Kure was a dedicated, hardworking, and trustworthy individual who performed his duties with utmost diligence and commitment.
According to him: “This is a very sad day for us at the Council. Danladi was not just a dedicated staff member, but a loyal companion whose humility and devotion to duty were exemplary.
“His untimely departure leaves a deep void that will be difficult to fill.
“May Almighty God in His infinite mercy forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul eternal rest in His heavenly kingdom.
“May the Almighty comfort his immediate family, wrap them in His divine peace, and grant us all the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
The statement further stated that on behalf of the leadership, management, and the entire people of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, the Executive Chairman stands in solidarity with the bereaved family during this period of grief.
