The Rector of Amani College of Health Sciences and Technology, Passo, in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Prof. Amani M. Danjuma, the parents as well as the guardians have brainstormed on the accreditation of some courses in the insulation.
In his welcome speech during the First symposium organized by the
management of the college, Danjuma said: “it is a great pleasure to have you before me today. I am the servant-founder and Rector of Amani College, humbly standing before you. Throughout my 52 years on earth I have walked, yes, with a vision in my heart and solid faith in my soul not to impress but to inspire.
“My mission is to secure for the youths of my generation and generations to come, a quality education that can positively affects the Heart, the Head and the Hand. In my journey to achieving this vision of planting men and women capable of positively impacting themselves, their families, their communities, their countries and the generations after them, I have endured tempests, tornadoes and storms.
“I want to tell you, with profound happiness that all these natural and human factors could not break me but built me, made me who I am today. Do you know why? Because mine is indeed a divine mission”.
Rector, while presenting a paper titled: “The Trending Resignation on Social Media of Mr. Polmi Yusuf Galudima, the Dean of Studies of the college”, alleged that Galadima’s resignation was due to the financial fraud being masterminded by him in the college.
He disclosed that already a petition had been channeled to the Coordinator of the FCT Chapter of the Association of Proprietors of Private Colleges of Health Sciences and Technology in Nigeria, Dr.
Elhassan Muhammad Yakubu over the financial misconducts and other atrocities.
While fielding questions from the parents and the students, Danjuma told the gathering that the Public Health was fully accredited, sayingthat plans are underway to accredit other courses.
Also, presented a paper on the “Misconceptions on the Establishment of Colleges of Health Sciences in Nigeria”, the Rector of Kubwa College of Health in Bwari Area Council, Dr. Elhassan Muhammad Yakubu, revealed that Amani College was both approved by the Department of Higher Education of the FCT Administration and accredited by the Public Health Practitioners Council ofNigeria.
Meanwhile, five papers were presented by the stakeholders and resource persons during the ceremony.
