A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has been asked to order Edozie Njoku, to cease parading himself as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA).
The court was also asked to declare that the appointment and/or election of the plaintiff in the matter, Chief Jude Okeke, as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at meeting of the by the National Executive Committee of the party held on 15” June, 2025 is valid, lawful and in accordance with the Constitution of the party.
The plaintiff had in a writ of summon with suit number CV/1167/2021 prayed the court to declare the suspension of Victor Oye from the party as valid and legal.
All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Inspector-General of police as defendants in the matter.
He wants the court to declare that the appointment and/or election of the Claimant (Chief Jude Okeke) as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at meeting of the by the National Executive Committee of the party held on 15” June, 2025 is valid, lawful and in accordance with the Constitution of the party.
A declaration that the suspension of the 2nd Defendant (Oye) as a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance by the National Executive Committee of the Party at its meetng held on 15™ June, 2021 is valid, lawful, subsisting and in accordance with the Constitution of the Party.
An order of court restraining the 1st Defendant, (Edozie) either by himself, agents, privies or howsoever described from further parading, holding out himself or in any other manner whatsoever performing the duties or any functions relating to or pertaining
to the office of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) forthwith.
Also, an order of the court restraining the 2nd Defendant, either directly or through his allies. cronies or privies from further parading or holding out himself, exercising or asserting any right or privilege pertaining to the membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) forthwith.
Meantime, no date has been fixed for the hearing of the matter.
