The All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State 2025 Gubernatorial Election Screening Committee has cleared all the seven aspirants who purchased the nomination forms for the primary election which tals place on April 5.
The Screening Committee which has the former Governor of Katsina state, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema as Chairman cleared all the aspirants, including Dr. Valentine Ozigbo who only joined the party recently from the opposition Labour Party (LP).
The Aspirants cleared by the Committee are Sir Paul Chukwuma, High Chief Prof. Obiora Francis Okonkwo, Hon. Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu and Hon. Chukwuma Michael Umeoji.
Others are Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, Johnbosco Obinna Onunkwo and Edozie Madu.
A statement issued yesterday by the National Publicity Secretary (NPS), Barr. Felix Morka explained that the Party has issued Certificates of Clearance to the Aspirants, at the National Secretariat in Abuja.
Morka equally urged all the members of the party in the state to revalidate their membership as required by the party, before the forthcoming primary election.
“One of the cleared Aspirants, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, has been granted a waiver by the Party to contest the Primary Election.
“All members of the Party, including new and old members, in Anambra state, are required to revalidate their membership as prescribed by the Party, ahead of the scheduled Primary Election”.
