The Youth Initiative for Advocacy Growth and Advancement (YIAGA) under its BounceCorruption project is partnering with Civil Innovation Lab with support from MacArthur Foundation in Nigeria is host a hackathon on using technology in fighting corruption.
Briefing journalists over the weekend in Abuja, Executive Director YIAGA, Samson Itodo, said the Bounce Corruption project is aimed at exposing, amplifying, empowering and creating awareness on the fight against corruption as adopted by government agencies and citizens.
“As we mark this year’s International Anti-Corruption Day with the theme, United against corruption for development, peace and security, there is a need to citizens in Nigeria to get involved more strategically in the role in demanding good governance and nationhood,” he said.
“We do hope with this activity that young people take up the fight against corruption innovatively and demand accountability in nation building,” he added.
