APC appoints Gov Abiodun of Ogun to lead party primaries panel for Anambra

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State to lead the party’s primary election Committee.
A statement issued yesterday by the National Secretary of the APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), John James Akpanudoedehe, said the “National Chairman of the APC CECPC, Governor Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of the Governor of Ogun State, H.E. Dapo Abiodun as the Chairman of the Primary Election Committee for the Anambra State Governorship Election”.
It said the Primary Election is scheduled for Saturday, June 26th, 2021, adding that other members of the Committee are: Barr. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, Hon. Goodluck Opiah, Cathleen Oby Nwofor, Alhaji Shitu Muhammed, Barr. Sylvester Imohanobe, while Senator John Enoh will serve as the Secretary of the Committee.
The statement said “In this capacity, the seven-member committee is expected to conduct the Primary Election to elect the Party’s Candidate for the Governorship Election for Anambra State in line with the provisions of our Party’s Constitution and Guidelines for the nomination of Candidates.”
