APC aspirant vows to restore party supremacy in Adamawa

gubernatorial hopeful in the forth coming bye election in Adamawa state, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Yakubu Tsalla, has vowed that if given the mandate he will ensure the party’s supremacy and vibrancy so that the APC can grow from strength to strength.

Tsalla disclosed this yesterday at the APC secretariat in Yola while submitting his intent expression and nomination forms to the leadership of the party saying that Adamawa has been neglected for many years and it is time for good hands to be in the position to salvage the state.

“When elected I will ensure party supremacy in any decision including appointments to be made by my administration.

“There will be no more appointments or awarding of contracts without consultation with the party leadership. Politicians must carry the party along”, Tsalla said.

Tsalla who was a retired civil servant also promised to restore the lost glory of the civil service in the state.

He listed education, health, agriculture, security and job creation as some of the areas to be accorded priority by his administration if elected.

Responding on behalf of the party, the state Vice Chairman, Mr. Dimas Ezra, said the party was satisfied with the quality of aspirants seeking election under its platform and would accord them level playing field.

Ezra said the APC was a grassroots party and would do everything possible to ensure it candidate emerged through democratic process.
