A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state, Chief Kenneth Ejiofor Ifekudu has been urged to contest the forthcoming 2024 Anambra state governorship election.
Ifekudu, a philanthropist, business mogul, and hospitality icon is being urged by friends and associates to take a shot at the Anambra state governorship election because of the leadership qualities they have found in him.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, an ally of Chief Ifekudu who is equally a chieftain of the APC, Chief Greg Ukaigwe said they are rooting for him because they strongly believe he has what it takes to preside over the affairs of the state in the next dispensation.
Ukaigwe further stated that Chief Ifekudu has been able to use his entrepreneurship skills to motivate people particularly younger graduates adding that such positive examples are expected to be inculcated to the emerging youths of the state.
“Chief Ifekudu’s successes are the perfect description of the age-long saying that hard work pays. Also in life some men are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.
“His successes in his chosen-career; construction is not an everyday story, they are the result of a well-planned, articulated and executed initiative. Diamond Leeds Limited which he founded has executed a number of outstanding Architectural Projects since it was established in the area of construction of bridges, road projects, sinking of boreholes drilling, electrification, Solar powered light and among others.
“There is a saying that the height great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night. Similarly, what makes a man great is not his opulence, but what he has done to make people smile, ease their burden and raise hope of the less privilege in the society. This Anambra State born oracle of generosity and father of philanthropy”.
According to the statement, all the quality attributes of Chief Ifekudu are what stands him out as the best man that should be supported by development minded people to take over the mantle of leadership in Anambra state with the view to commencing its development.

Chief Ifekudu is also properly educated with a Master’s degree in Business administration as well as a Law degree obtained from Base University. He also holds numerous chieftaincy titles from communities both within and outside Anambra state.
