Commissioners of Youth from All Progressives Congress (APC)-governed states have reaffirmed their loyalty to the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and expressed commitment to championing youth-led transformation in Nigeria
. The pledge was made at the end of the PGF Quarterly Meeting of Honourable Commissioners of Youth, held on August 7-8, 2025, in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The commissioners adopted the PGF Unified Inter-State Youth Development Framework to enhance cross-state collaboration, ensure policy alignment, and scale innovative solutions for youth empowerment.
They resolved to integrate digital skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship into state-level youth policies, aiming to produce a youth generation that is future-ready, productive, and inclusive.
The commissioners commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visionary leadership and endorsed his Renewed Hope Agenda, which places youth at the center of Nigeria’s socio-economic transformation
The commissioners pledged to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and performance-driven governance, aligning with the vision of the PGF under the leadership of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
They expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for hosting the meeting and to the PGF Secretariat for its strategic coordination and commitment to advancing youth-focused initiatives.
The meeting highlighted the importance of youth development initiatives, including skills training, digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and sports, as key drivers for a prosperous and secure Nigeria.
The commissioners applauded the contributions of the President and governors in addressing drug abuse, youth restiveness, and unemployment, promoting national stability and social inclusion.
The commissioners pledged to deepen partnerships, strengthen youth policies, and drive collaborative action across APC-governed states in pursuit of national progress.
This commitment is expected to yield positive outcomes for Nigeria’s youth and contribute to the country’s overall development.
