• Says Nigerians want change

The founder of LEADERSHIP Group and Presidential aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC), Sam Nda Isaiah, has congratulated Chief John Odigie Oyegun on his emergence as the National Chairman of the APC.
Oyegun, a former governor of Edo State, became the first elected National Chairman of the party at the party’s congress held last weekend in Abuja.
A statement issued yesterday by Sam4Nigeria presidential campaign organisation and signed by Nda Isaiah, stated that Oyegun’s emergence as National Chairman of the APC is born out of a strong need for change.
He said: “In the light of the callous misrule of the People’s Democratic Party over the last 15 years and the deep desire for change across the country, our party could not have made a better choice. I cannot be prouder of being a member of the party at any time.”
He added, “This choice is at once a challenge and an opportunity, a challenge because those who voted for the National Executive Committee (NEC) under your leadership and millions of our party members want change; they hope that you and your team can bring this about.”
He further stated that Nigerians “across party lines are fed up with an incompetent and clueless government”, adding that they hope the APC will provide an alternative platform.
According to him, the APC can offer, and more important, put into action forward-thinking policies that are the pillars of a truly effective government under Oyegun’s leadership.
“The APC can turn the current tide of hopelessness into hope and opportunity, we can take our country back from the grip of joblessness, corruption and mindless violence. The party under your leadership can seize the moment and fulfil the dreams and aspirations of all those who have laboured to bring it this far and the millions more who have invested their hopes in the future,” he stated.
