APC lauds Ajimobi over new road projects

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has lauded the initiative of Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the leadership of the 33 local government councils to collaborate and embark on massive construction of intra-city roads in their respective domains in fulfillment of the promise earlier made to the people by the state government.

Some residents of the state had in the past few days commended the APC-led government in the state for walking the talk by embarking on massive repair or full construction projects on many intra city and link roads which had been abandoned for long.

Virtually all the caretaker chairmen in the 33 local government areas in Oyo state have flagged-off two or more important road construction projects in their council territory, to complement the efforts of Senator Abiola Ajimobi on improved road networks for the people of the state.

In a statement issued by its Director of Publicity and Strategy, Olawale Sadare, APC recalled that the development was another eloquent testimony to the seriousness which political office holders on its platform attached to addressing the plight of the masses in all ramifications as well as a pointer to the fact every promise made to the people would be fulfilled regardless of the odds.

“The development, no doubt, would go a long way to further solidify the trust and confidence of the people on the administration of Sen. Abiola Ajimobi and thereby put paid to the various wicked lies of the opposition Accord Party and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state. Therefore, we urge all the indigenes and residents of the state to keep faith with the APC and ensure that all the antics of those who had failed the state in the past, but still trying to come back, are defeated by voting for the APC overwhelmingly in the coming general elections,” the party stated.
