APC Primary: People’s choice will be paramount in Katsina – Radda

…… tasks 2,400 convention delegates on unity

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, says the All Progressives Congress primary for various elective positions will reflect the choice of the people.

Addressing the 2,400 delegates from the state who are in Abuja for the APC National Convention, Radda said people’s choice will remain paramount.

“In Katsina, we will ensure that the people’s choice remains paramount. Our goal is to conduct primaries that are transparent, fair, and reflective of the aspirations of our members,” the governor stated.

He noted that the party primaries are scheduled to hold in May this year, as such there’s the need for all stakeholders to work together in unity and mutual understanding.

“With the party primaries coming up in May, it is important for all stakeholders to join hands and strengthen unity among our members. Together, we can ensure a peaceful and credible process,” he said.

The governor urged the delegates to remain calm, disciplined, and patient before and during the convention, noting that their conduct would reflect the strength and maturity of the party.

“I call on all our delegates to exercise patience and remain focused throughout this process. Your conduct will continue to demonstrate the strength, unity, and maturity of our great party,” he added.

Radda commended the delegates for their exemplary behaviour so far, expressing appreciation for the level of discipline and cooperation demonstrated throughout the ongoing party activities.

“I am pleased with the maturity you have all shown. This is a clear indication that our party in Katsina remains united, organised, and forward-looking,” he said.

Governor Radda further explained that a consensus arrangement would be adopted where necessary to promote unity and sustainability within the party.

He also noted that Katsina State has retained its position as the seat of the party’s National Legal Adviser.

The Governor commended APC members across the state for the successful conduct of the party congresses at the ward, local government, and state levels.

“The successful completion of our ward, local government, and state congresses is a testament to the strength and unity of our party in Katsina. I commend all members for their dedication and commitment,” Governor Radda said.

Governor Radda expressed optimism about the outcome of the convention, noting that it would further strengthen the party’s institutional framework and deepen internal democracy.

“This convention will no doubt consolidate the gains we have made and further strengthen our party’s foundation for future success,” he stated.

The Governor also praised Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC National Chairman, describing him as a seasoned technocrat and administrator with the capacity to lead the party effectively.
