The All Progressives Congress (APC) felicitates with Nigerians, especially our Christian compatriots, on the occasion of Easter.
Easter is core to the Christian faith as it commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, typifying His victory over death. Significantly, too, it is the triumph of light over darkness.
In a statement issued yesterday by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, APC said “as we celebrate, we are reminded of God’s infinite capacity to turn dark clouds to silver linings, and unpleasant situations to good fortunes.
“We urge Nigerians to stay confident and hopeful of a brighter and more vibrant future, especially with the Renewed Hope agenda of our President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Jesus Christ died and resurrected to unite and reconcile humankind back to God. As we commemorate this act of supreme sacrifice, it is imperative to lend ourselves to those things that unite us as Nigerians than those that set us apart.
“Let this season of Easter also be a time to celebrate with families, neighbours and friends, with selfless love, kindness, charity and forgiveness – some of the enduring virtues immanent in the death and resurrection of Christ.
