A group of students under the platform of APC Students Support for Tinubu-Uba has endorsed former Senator Danjuma Tella Laah for the Southern Kaduna Senatorial ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced at the end of a consultative meeting held in Kafanchan.
The students demanded political equity for the region, backing Laah’s emergence as senator, Engr. Joseph Almajiri Chiroma as a potential running mate to Governor Uba Sani, Engr. Mike Auta as a federal minister, and Mr. Amos Gwamna as Secretary to the State Government in Kaduna State.
The group’s Coordinator, Comrade Gabriel Tanko Kateri, said students in Southern Kaduna were no longer willing to play passive roles in the politics of the region.
He urged the party leadership to consider the contributions and expectations of young people from the region as it prepares for the next round of elections.
The students believe Laah’s experience and engagement with his constituency make him a strong candidate for the senatorial ticket.
