The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has suspended his campaign in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara North till further notice.
The Director General, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Campaign Organization (AACO) for Kwara North, Alhaji Muhammad Kudu Muhammad, in a statement said the suspension followed the death of one of the jubilant youths involved in motorcycle crash, while the campaign team was about to commence the tour of Okuta District in the Baruten Local Government Area of the state.
“The campaign team is sad by the unfortunate incidence which claimed the life of Alfa Issa Umar following an head-on collision with another cheerful motorcyclist, both die hard supporters of the APC Otoge train.
“The campaign team is consoled by the believe that Alfa Issa Umar died in the LIBRATION & EMANCIPATION of Kwara state. May Allah grant him Aljanna Firdaus and give the family and the entire APC family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“Consequently, our campaigns in this LGA are hereby suspended till further notice in honour of the late Umar”, the statement said.
