Ahead of the June 20 governorship election in Ekiti state, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to formally inaugurate its National Campaign Council.
The APC National Publicity Secretary (NPS), Barr. Felix Morka in a statement on Monday said the committee headed by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio would be inaugurated on Wednesday, June 10 at the Kashim Shettima Hall, Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
According to the statement, the Council comprises serving and former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other eminent Party leaders is tasked with coordinating and driving the Party’s campaign activities to ensure victory at the election.
“To ensure effective planning and campaign coordination, various subcommittees have been constituted to lead the Party’s activities in key areas, including Election Planning and Management; Finance and Resource Mobilisation; Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation; Logistics and Campaign Management; Protocol; Media and Publicity; Security; Women’s Mobilisation; Youth Mobilisation; and Secretariat Functions”, the statement added.
The inauguration is an important part of activities to kick start mobilization across Ekiti State towards a victorious outing in the upcoming governorship election.
The Minister congratulated the Tax Ombud Office on the successful launch of the new platforms and urged stakeholders to continue working together to build a tax administration system that is transparent, efficient, and responsive to Nigerians’ needs.
