APC to officially receive Zamfara governor on Tuesday
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has completed preparations to receive Governor Dauda Lawal into the party on Tuesday.
The state APC chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, made this known during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Gusau on Saturday.
According to him, the party has directed all the 14 local government chairmen of the party to mobilise supporters for the rally to be held at Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Memorial Stadium in Gusau.
The chairman urged members to support the event and maintain peace.
“Gov. Lawal’s defection to APC from PDP is a significant development for the state and the party as a whole,” Danfulani said.
Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected to lead the national leaders of the APC to Zamfara for the event.
