Nze Chidi Duru, the Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has revealed that the party is putting plans in place to become the first political party to carry out a proper e-registration of members in the country.
Nze Duru who also underscored the importance of electronic registration of party members stated this recently when the State Chairmen of the APC paid a courtesy visit to the National Working Committee(NWC) at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
He disclosed that the e-registration which would be the first to be undertaken by any political party in Nigeria, would equally enable the party to know its membership strength in each state of the federation.
According to him, to perfect the exercise, each State Chapter of the party would send two representatives for the train-the-trainers programme, after which the trainees would go back to their respective states to train other people across the Local Government Areas (LGAs) and wards.
Duru further solicited for the cooperation of the State Party Chairmen as well as other stakeholders towards ensuring the success of the exercise across the nation.
He concluded that the flag off of the e-registration will take place in Minna, Niger State on a date to be announced by the party.
