Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Benue state Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has stressed that victory of the party in the Presidential and National Assembly election is start of a journey to liberating the State.
He noted that APC won the Presidential election, two (2) Senatorial seats as well as 10 House of Representatives seats.
In a press statement signed by his Media Director, Tersoo Kula and made available to Peoples Daily on Tuesday, Fr. Alia who dedicated the victory to the suffering Benue people, said the journey to the restoration of the lost glories of the State has started.
While congratulating all the new National Assembly members, the Governorship candidate also, expressed gratitude to the people of Benue who clearly depicted overwhelming love for the party,
“I appreciate the leader of the party in the state and Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs Sen. George Akume, the state working committee of the party, the campaign council of the party in the state, major stakeholders at all levels, party faithful and support groups who were the representative of the party in all the polling units of the state.”
