Following the death of its leader, late Alhaji Aliyu Ayuba recently, Association of Arewa Traders in Nigeria, ATAN has elected new executives to run the affairs of the Union.
The members from nineteen (19) Northern states including Abuja elected Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad alias ’86’ from Adamawa state as Chairman while Alhaji Kabiru Hali from Sokoto state was elected Vice Chairman of the Union.
Announcing the election results,Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Organisation, Dr. Bature Abdulaziz told the delegates that the exercise was conducted purely based on merit and positive contribution in the development of the Union.
