Armed robbers snatch motorcycle from rider at gun point

Four armed robbers on rampage in Abraka community, Delta State on Monday at gunpoint snatched a motorcycle from the owner, and zoomed into the thin air.
The owner of the motorcycle, Felix Onojete who confirmed the incident to our reporter said: “I was driving in the early morning from Agbarho Junction to Benin Junction when two men flagged me down, in front of Conoil Petrol Station under the guise of patronage, they pointed guns at me, and I surrender my motorcycle fast, they left with it”.
It was gathered that the victim was put on frog jumps after which they took the key of the motorcycle from and drove it away.
But the police in Abraka Police Division where the matter, was reported who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity said: “we are investigating the incident, the armed robbers took the motorcycle from the victim at gun point”.
Eye witness, Jane Erhue who spoke to our reporter said: “the armed robbers stopped the owners as if they wanted to board the bike, and unknown to the owner, that they were robbers, brought out their guns, and asked him to surrender which he did, and they left with the motorcycle”.
Sources said motorcycle snatching has been very ramparted in Abraka in the last three weeks, a situation residents and motorcycle owners, however appealed to the police to come to their aid.
