In an effort to provide solutions to the security challenges militating against the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria, the Nigeran Army University Biu (NAUB) in collaboration with Tukur Buratai Institute for War and Peace have trained 17 security operatives on disaster response and management courses.
The development was contained in a press statement issued to journalists in Yola yesterday by the Public Relations officer of the University, Hassan Rabi’u Ismaeel, stressing that the university inaugurated the first set of participants drawn from Armed forces, Nigeria Police Force, Academia and other paramilitary organisations.
According to the statement the course training was conducted in four (4) weeks, between March 1 – March 26th at the Tukur Buratai Institute for War and Peace (TBIWP) with the aim of equipping junior and middle level commanders with necessary techniques and skills for disaster response and management.
