I strongly believe that the innovation in technology is mainly for the purpose of making our day-to-day tasks easier, less difficult and error-free. This could enable individuals to spend less time performing ordinary tasks, especially that Artificial Intelligence-related innovation has the ability to enhance humanity as long as it is put into good use.
Proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an act whereby an individual recreates a certain device of its kind for the purpose of developing.The AI experts create an intelligence system that exhibits intelligent behavior, explains and advises its users.
Perhaps we can say it is the replication of a problem-solving skills, a connection or perception that requires human intelligence. It has contributed to the development of computer operations associated with Reasoning, Learning and Human Imitation.
AI is also a branch in technology that can be applied to many fields like ,Maths, Biology, Linguistics, physiology and Engineering.
It is worthy of note to know what exactly Artificial Intelligence is – it is the computing of systems through Algorithms made up of codes which can simulate human intelligence and our cognitive functions such as problem-solving skills.
Artificial intelligence tends to understand things beyond imagination with the full support of data and a set of instructions .The digital era has opened the doors to many possibilities where Artificial intelligence can be applied, the data in the new media is growing rapidly and the general human intelligence levels are not sufficient to handle the massive data let alone processing and analyzing it thus there is the need for Machines for speed ups.
Moreover, AI has already become an integral part of our lives through various applications. From music streaming platforms like Spotify and virtual assistant such as Apple’s Siri and Google assistant, AI has revolutionized industries and contributed to our economic growth.
These AI models replicate human intelligence, enabling them to perform tasks like serving at restaurants, caring for infants, cleaning homes and driving vehicles. AI extends its wings to sectors like the educational sector which over the past few years, there has been a growth in the trend of the educational sector, incorporating modern technologies and practices in order to improve the overall educational experience,the innovation of Chatbot or ChatGPT that are designed to understand and respond to written or spoken language in a natural and human like way.
For example, this could be used in education to provide an intelligent tutoring system that can understand and respond to student inquiries, or solve an assignment.
Secondly, in health, the application of AI in hospitals helps in the reducing enormous workload for Radiologist and Clinicians who prone to getting tired and stressed out after hours of work, it help in reading Radiology reports , documentation ,speech recognition and interpretation of data.
Natural Language Processor (NLP), Computer Aided Coding (CAC) are also an important areas used in health care it comes in handy when a patient needs personalized health solutions . AI in the manufacturing industries provides basic solutions to tasks such as automation and quality control by scanning just a data to know a pattern ,they maintain and repair sensor equipment.
Also the impact of AI is particularly evident in communication and Navigation devices,with drones notable example,these drones provides a safer alternative for capturing events and live videos especially in challenging and difficult situations or national emergencies.In addition to this, AI has the potential to predict human thoughts, feelings and offers unprecedented sights.
Moreover AI has contributed immensely to the advancement in security systems, space exploration and personal assistant like Alexa which provides instant to accurate and extensive information.
The Banking and finance uses institutions uses this technology for customer management and document search to avoid error and delay in the process, they also engage their customers via chatbots ,this helps the bankers understand their various clients even in their absence.
However it is important to acknowledge that AI also has it’s limitations and setbacks , while it provide growth , development and efficiency, it can also lead to job losses in certain industries, such as when AI replace Human workers in big eateries.
More so, embracing this new technology may come at a big cost to doctor and their patient’s relationship, companies that venture into tech may also be in danger of unleashing rogue AI that could harm humanity if the government refuse to intervene.
In conclusion , it is crucial for the society to be aware of both the benefits and disadvantages, Responsible use of AI can harness it’s potentias for the betterment of humanity while serving potential risks.as we navigate the future of technology a balance approach will make way for a prosperous and Harmonious coexistence with Artificial intelligence.
