The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has harped on the need for Nigerians to draw inspiration from the values symbolised by the birth of Jesus Christ as a pathway to national renewal and collective prosperity.

The party, which said this in its Christmas message to Nigerians, pointed out that the season offered more than festivity, describing it as a moment of reflection on the moral foundations capable of reshaping Nigeria’s political and economic future.

According to the PDP: “As Nigerians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the entire political organs and administrative structure of the Peoples Democratic Party send our warmest felicitations to our Christian members and the larger body of Christ in Nigeria.

“Christmas presents a reminder of values that transcend religion and time. Values values are urgently needed in Nigeria’s public life.

“This season reminds us of the enduring values that Jesus embodied-love, sacrifice, humility, and generous provision for others”, it said.

The PDP, in the statement personally signed by its National Chairman, Barrister Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, stressed that the lessons of Christmas should not be confined to annual celebrations but embedded in governance and civic conduct.

The statement further reads: “These are not merely seasonal virtues but timeless principles that if embraced in our national life, can transform our country and usher in economic prosperity.”

Reaffirming its political stance, the the assured Nigerians of its resolve to promote these ideals through its policies and actions, expressing confidence that principled leadership remains central to building a nation that works for all.

“In the joyful spirit of this season, we are reminded that even in challenging times, determined people have not only survived, but have emerged stronger and found beauty in ashes. May this Christmas fill your hearts with joy, your homes with peace, and your spirit with renewed optimism for the brighter days ahead,” the statement added.
