Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Allhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that the ultimate goal of the next year’s general election is to recover Nigeria from the grip of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Atiku specifically declared that he is in the forthcoming election to recover and restore the country.

The former Vice President said this yesterday in a message to his supporters fans on the social media.

Atiku lamented that the APC has, for

more than seven years, knelt on the necks of Nigerians, saying, “that is why I am in this election: to recover Nigeria and restore the country”.

He warned that voting the APC in the next election is a vote for a continuation of the current privation.

The PDP presidential candidate said, “Dear Atikulator, (as his social media supporters and fans are called), let me remind you again, that the ultimate goal of the upcoming election is to recover Nigeria from the suffocating grip of the APC.

“For more than seven years, the APC have knelt on our necks and that is why I am in this election: to recover Nigeria and restore the country.

“Look at it this way, dear friend, would the APC recover Nigeria from itself?

It’s a sure NO.

“Voting the APC in the next election is a vote for a continuation of the current privation.

“And that’s why I would like that you join hands with me to make sure that Nigeria wins in the election next February.

“When we defeat the APC and Nigeria wins, the victory is all ours.

“When we work together to recover Nigeria, then, we would make a bold statement that power truly belongs to the people”, he said
