Atiku vows affection for Edo electorates, supporters

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 16, 2019 elections, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, has displayed his affection for electorates and his supporters in Edo State.
Atiku, former Vice President, demonstrated his love before a cheering crowd of supporters at PDP mega rally on Friday at the Garrick memorial field in Benin City, the State Capital.
He reportedly bowed down to pay tributes to his supporters for their patience and resilience after eight hours of waiting for him to arrive from his campaign in Abia State.
“I apologise for coming late. I swear in the name of God, I love you all. I am a bridge between my generation and your generation” he said.
The PDP Presidential candidate while urging the electorates to vote for his party in the election and defend their ballot, said “This is the first time in this Country we are having 21 million people that have no jobs.
He berated the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government and promised to give women and youths 70 percent positions, assuring that he will bring prosperity in his cabinet if elected.
Addressing the gathering, the national Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, promised good governance if the PDP Presidential candidate is elected.
Edo State Chairman of PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, received some defectors from APC to PDP at the rally, which attracted former ministers, past and serving National and State Houses of Assembly and PDP candidates contesting the 2019 polls.
Embattled Senator Dino Melaye had entertained the gathering with one of the popular tracks of the late music maestro, Fela Anikolakuti and subtly mocked the ruling party, amid laughter by his enthusiasts.
