A Citizen activist based in Kaduna Yusuf Ishaku Goje has called on Nigerian security agencies to avoid human collateral damage, in the ongoing fight against insurgency.
He stated this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, there is a doctrine ascribed in 1769 by William Blackstone that “the law holds that 10 guilty persons should escape, than that 1 innocent suffer (innocent person be convicted).”
He added that needless killing of innocent citizens in the fight against terrorism should not be tolerated under any guise.
Though, we commend the amazing work and patriotism by our security agencies in the fight against insurgency, however, the accidental bombing by our gallant force in Igabi LGA, killing and injuring many, stands condemned,” he said
The activist commended the Military for its strike that eliminated the infamous terrorist and kidnapping ringleader, Yellow Jambros, and scores of his cohorts in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Yellow Jambros, known for orchestrating multiple kidnappings and killings across states including Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, and Zamfara, was targeted by the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch.
