Bachama paramount ruler dies at 66 in Adamawa

The paramount traditional ruler of the Bachama Kingdom,Hama Bachama Homun Honest Stephen Irmiya is dead.
A statement credited to a tittle holder in the traditional palace,Nzobyalata Hama Bachama,Chief Timawus Mathias revealed that the king died after a brief illness on Saturday evening at his palace in Numan local government Area of Adamawa state.
It was stated in the statement that the late first class King died at the age of 66yrs after ruling for 7 years on the throne and was the 28th King in the Bachama kingdom’s chronological order ( hierarchy).
“Homun Honest Stephen Irmiya is 66 years old and he received his staff of office on 15th December,2013 from Former Governor Murtala Nyako.
“Homun (King) Irmiya ,Kwire Mana Kpafrato II, a retired officer of the Nigerian Army,who ascended the throne in 2012 succeeded Late Homun Asaph Zadok.
“Already the funeral rights are well underway according to Bachama tradition in Lamurde,the Kingdom’s headquarters.
