Bankit MFB unveils free transfers, biometric security to drive digital banking inclusion

Bankit Microfinance Bank, a fast-growing digital bank, has introduced a suite of new features including free transfers and biometric login—to enhance user experience and advance financial inclusion across Nigeria.

In a statement issued over the weekend, the fintech firm announced that customers can now enjoy seamless, fee-free transfers to any Nigerian bank, real-time transaction alerts, biometric authentication, and cashback on bill payments—all from its mobile-first platform.

Speaking on the rollout, Simpa Yekini, Chief Operating Officer of Bankit MFB, said the bank is focused on building more than just a digital platform, it’s creating a secure, inclusive financial ecosystem tailored for Nigeria’s evolving mobile economy.

“At Bankit, we’re not just building another digital bank—we’re engineering an ecosystem where security meets convenience, and every transaction adds value,” Yekini said.

“Our app is fast, intuitive, and secure, built for the mobile-first generation. With free transfers, biometric login, instant alerts, cashback on bill payments, and rewards on savings, we’re reshaping how people experience banking.”

Yekini added that the bank’s focus on biometric authentication and advanced security protocols aligns with its mission to protect customer data while simplifying access.

With ambitions to become a major player in Africa’s digital finance landscape, Bankit reaffirmed its commitment to using innovation to close the financial inclusion gap.
