Bappah reiterates resolve to fix FCT Hospitals

The Mandate Secretary, Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS) of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reiterated resolve to intensify effort towards fixing challenges bedeviling health facilities in the Territory.
In particular, Bappah reassured that the FCT Administration through the Secretariats will redouble measures to tackle the myriad of problems facing some public hospitals especially those in rural areas.
Bappah spoke while on tour of general hospitals and other related institutions, to familiarize himself with the challenges of the health facilities, in order to improve the quality of their services.
PeoplesDaily learnt that most of the challenges facing FCT Hospitals were bothering on poor patronage, electricity, water supply, security, staffing and funding.
However, the HHSS Secretary disclosed that the FCT Administration had since doubled efforts to address the challenges facing the hospitals.
He noted that despite the prevailing challenges, FCT health workers have remained steadfast in discharging their assigned duties.
Bappah urged stakeholders especially royal fathers and other community leaders to advocate to their subjects to patronage hospitals within their domains, so as to see changes within the shortest period of time.
The HHSS Secretary and his entourage, made up of the Managing Director, FCT Health Management Board, Dr. Aminu Mai and other directors of the secretariat, visited general hospitals in Rubochi, Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada and Zuba, where they inspected facilities and interacted with the Medical Directors of the hospitals and other health workers.
