Bauch Gov establishes Police outpost over violence in Yelwa

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has ordered for immediate establishment of a police outpost at Yelwa area of Bauchi Local Government.

The Governor made the commitment while inspecting the level of damage caused by the civil unrest which resulted to lost of three live, destruction of houses and properties in the area.

He also pledged to procure operational vehicles for the police and other security personnel to intensify operations around the area to guarantee peaceful coexistence in the area.

Addressing the communities after the inspection, Governor Bala Mohammed described the incident as an act of miscreants, warning that government would not allow bad elements in the society to disrupt the peaceful coexistence being enjoyed across the state.

He directed the State Emergency Management Agency SEMA to take inventory of the property destroyed to enable government provide them with relief materials.
