The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate representing the Bauchi Federal Constituency, Hon Aminu Mohammed, Danmalikin Bauchi, has blamed incessant bomb explosions in the country on President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking to journalists in Bauchi yesterday after he visited the Bauchi Central Market, scene of Monday’s explosion which claimed 17 lives, with scores injured blamed President Goodluck Jonathan for not doing enough to stop the spate of the bombings by the insurgents in the country.

He expressed dismay over the type of leadership in the country, saying President Goodluck Jonathan has failed woefully in his leadership responsibilities which do not provide security of lives and properties.

He lambasted the Presidency over the level of insecurity in the country, urging the Federal Government to halt the attacks.

The House of Reps candidate said “the incident was a dangerous development, which should not be taken lightly by any responsible Nigerian leaders” , adding that the attack has added a dangerous dimension to a bad security situation in the country.

According to him, such situation has only deepened the anxiety of the ordinary citizens that nobody is safe in this country.

He noted that while it is the duty of all leaders regardless of political affiliations to support the anti terrorism efforts in the country, it would not be wise to keep quiet when events are taking disturbing dimensions.
